Pfizer

For more than a decade, Security Management Systems (SMS) has been instrumental in providing security solutions for the world’s largest drug research company Pfizer, Inc. at their New York world headquarters.

Most recently, SMS designed and installed a campus-wide access control and CCTV system encompassing over 2.3 million sq. ft.

The system architecture has been designed to utilize the infrastructure of Pfizer’s wide area network, which has expanded to incorporate over 300 cameras, 450 card readers, optical and barrier turnstiles, and a visitor identification system integrated with the human resources database.

Security Management Systems completed the global command and control center in 2004 and is currently completing the construction of a new 31-story building incorporating a fiber backbone for surveillance cameras, optical turnstiles, and the further expansion of the access control system over the WAN.

In addition to the eight buildings in midtown Manhattan that embrace the campus headquarters, SMS has designed and installed a system to secure a 250,000-square-foot Learning Center in Westchester.
